Lovelife: Day 2 Trash

Have you ever wondered how does your mum/dad/maid/housemate deal with the rubbish and trash that you/ your family leave around after cooking or consumption of food?

Have you ever wondered who takes out the trash and the many other rubbish that you leave around?
(might be your mum, your dad, your maid, YOU)

so, today as i was looking around and try to listen to GOD's guidance on a random act of kindness, i was shocked to see the condition of the kitchen sink and the trash bin! i saw the dishes that i washed last time was now all in a mess and the trash bin as well as the recycle bin is filled with stinking and yucky leftovers and crap.

at first instance i was like awww man.... i thought i just cleaned that up. so, i tried to ignore it and think of some other 'greater' act of kindness that i can do. but GOD was telling me something. GOD was telling me to clean that up once again because love is not a one off thing but love is consistent. if i want to learn how to love like GOD, i shouldnt just do it a once but do it consistently.

Reluctantly, i washed the dishes again and took out the recycle bin. this made me think that this challenge is not for other people. this challenge is more of like helping my sis!

but as i was doing all this, this verse came into my mind. Luke 16:10 If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. but if you are dishonest in little things, you wont be honest with greater responsibilities. (NLT) this struck me as i am aiming for 'greater' exploits of kindness but GOD is smacking me, telling me that great change comes from small little things and we need to faithful with it. So, if i want to apply love into my life, let it start from within me, then to my surrounding aka the place that i live in , the people that i live with.

anyway, at the end, me and my sis had another good laugh and what was even better is that she offered to cook steak for me as dinner. how awesome is that!

lesson of the day: once again, GOD shows me that love is not just a feeling, but it is an action. not one off/ once but a continuous action! and if you want to achieve great things, be faithful with the little things first. so i guess, its more dish washing and more trash taking for me! :)

Challenge of the day: HELP YOUR PARENTS/HOUSEMATE/MAID TO TAKE OUT THE TRASH! you might never know, it will put a smile on their face and they will feel loved!

Did a random act of kindness? comment to me and let me know! :)

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.
